Question about Destroyed Buildings
Got a question about buildings that get destroyed after you attack a province. When you get the banner saying you conquered XXX, XX buildings damaged, XX buildings destoyed, etc....Do these represent the "improvements" that the AI had built in that province (Swordsmith, Watch Tower, etc.)?
I can see the little buildings inside the walls when I lay siege to a castle. If I would not attack any of these buildings and just attack the gates and soldiers, would any buildings be "destroyed" or "damaged"? What happens to a damaged building? Is it still in the province?
OK...that was a few questions...but I'd appreciate any insight  .
Re: Question about Destroyed Buildings
1) Yes.
2) The little buidings inside the walls do not represent the "improvements" to the province. They're strictly decoration for the battlefield. Attacking them or not shouldn't make any difference to the destroyed or damaged totals.
3) A damaged building results in a higher-level building being reduced to a lower level, i.e., a Master Swordsmith reduced to a Swordsmith Guild. There's still a swordsmith building in the province, just at a lower level than before the battle. Destroyed buildings are a self-evident result - they no longer exist in any form in that province.
Re: Question about Destroyed Buildings
If you were to completely obliterate the castle, leaving just a charred mass of rubble, once you finnished the castle assault the province would still lose the same amount of buildings. There doesn't seem to be a correlation.

Yes, you are right, but I am much too lazy to do all that :embarassed: .
