OT:
Seriously, why the hell do they show so many UFO Files? It's seriously retarded. They used to run it as a once year marathon on TLC before it became the interior design channel.

That was a shinnier version of the game that was made just for decisive battles to make people buy RTW. I think the budget for that show was about $3000 judging by the quality of the show.

Actually, strange as it sounds, you can make your game literally shinier by editing on the 'shiny' option that's in the game, but normally off.

Re: Did you see , again , the Total war engine in the history channel
well on the history channel all that comes on now is WW2 stuff, over and over again!

Re: Did you see , again , the Total war engine in the history channel
Decisive Battles is a good program but they shouldb't have crammed it all into just half an hour. They should at least make every show an hour long. The battles were good though. ~

The shiny option was posted a while ago. If anyone knows how to turn it on, feel free to share.

I know how you feel, it is the same with outdoor life network and there ghost and supernatural stories. I can only watch and wonder what type of people take these shows seriously :dizzy2: ~
Shaun hit the other big thing, constant WW2 stuff. I know they've made a hell of a lot of material for the recent wars but I would love if they put some more ancient history documentries.
I remember TLC (when they still were The learning channel and not the LTC- Life Television channel) put on really good series on Rome, maybe 4 hours worth of material.

Re: Did you see , again , the Total war engine in the history channel
TLC once ran a 12 hours long 9 am - 9 pm series of Roma UBER documentaries. It had info that I have not seen anywhere else.

Re: Did you see , again , the Total war engine in the history channel

Re: Did you see , again , the Total war engine in the history channel
Personally I feel the DB series is TOO SHORT, its only 30 minutes and is more for children, there is SO much they could have shown with the engine that would have been better. Also they should have went with historical units, even though I know why they didnt for marketing reasons.
But over all I found the series lacking and that it should have had MORE information and more simulation of the battles with the engine. I felt sheated after paying 12 bucks for 25 minutes and only brief battle glimpses. :-(
As usual everything is being force feed simple, not really educational.
