In NInja by Osprey Publ. there is a mention about sharpshooter 'living booby traps' emplyed by Shimazu clan after the battle at Sekigahara. These soldiers covered the retreat.
Maybe a good idea for a unique musket armed unit - of course it would use another entry in Projectiles.txt, but there are plenty to use.
What do you think ?

Japanese sharpshooters have shot an admiral who was on a ship (once from land and once from another ship). They were pretty impressive.
I think you'd have to come up with some characteristics for such a unit that made its tactical use different from the standard gun units. Then you have to figure out how to balance it relative to all the existing units. Small units are not suited to the battle engine, and you can see this with the kensai and battlefield ninja which are basically impossible to balance.
