Obviously, the factions each have a culture, and this determines some of the makeup of the faction...
Now...in models_strat, there are several different types of city model. I have no idea what determines the type used for any given faction.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I´m not one hundred percent sure right now, as I don´t have the files at hand, but I don´t think model_strat is the file where the city models are assigned. That is, I´m pretty certain it is not, the unsure part is which file actually is the one that does.
I think that descr_sm_settlements.txt is the file you are looking for. :bow:
Ahh....thats the final piece in the jigsaw.
descr_strat gives you the original 'creator' faction for a town, irrespective of the actual faction owning it.
You cross match that with the list in descr_sm_settlement, and that tells you what model is used by the faction at the various levels.
