Bug in the New Thread/Reply/Edit screen

The screenshots must be self explanatory but let me rephrase it; the popup texts of the "Smile" and "Thumbs down" post icons are switched. I've been aware of the situation since the very first day the default skin was introduced but didn't find it worthy to bother Tosa, who was struggling hard to stabilize the engine and database.

Now that it caused a small skirmish between Longshanks and caesar44 in a thread at the Monastry, due to the latter's unintentional use of "Thumbs down" in the place of "Smile", I believe that it should be fixed.

Guess it is because of the different smiley sets per skin (not standard supported).

Looking at it. Fix is probably switching something.

Previous was thumbs up, now doing smile.

Doing thumbs down.

Think so. The default smile seems to have been switched to thumb down but I'm no more seeing the anomalities. Maybe they were older topics?

My previous one appears this way on the front page:

It seems to have defaulted to the thread's initial icon instead of the forum default (?) smile. Is that what's supposed to happen?

The confused post icon syndrome prevails. The same post appears with the wrong icon on the front page while it shows up with the correct one in the thread:

The smiley, thumb up and thumb down all show up properly?Isn't it something else Mouzafphaerre? Effect of old bug, latest reply smiley displayed? It isn't that.

Your pic examples show the picture of the topic and an Reply to that. The reply icon can be different.

Theyt both belong to the same post in the thread Tosa Inu sama. The upper one showed up on the main page, the lower one in the thread.

But Re: is reply, thus not the first post in a thread? The topics started here with smiley and thumb, show up correctly? Am I missing something Mouzafphaerre?

I'll search for that Hannibal topic and may understand, Frontroom right?

In other forum types (YaBBSE/SMF, Invision, PHPBB etc.) the front page shows the title of the last post in the thread.

If this VB displays that "thread X has been updated by user Y's post" then there's no problem. If it's the same practice, ie pointing t the latest post in the thread with its title and icon, then there's one. Sorry for the confusion, of which I'm also a victim now. ~:(

OK, I'm settled now. Checked the front page right after posting my last reply and it shows up with the thread's icon, not the post's.
