Man I can't wait to get my hands on BI.

just wait for a general named Arthur. and start raiding..man that should be a laugh..
Now that's something to use as a sig.Quote:

But seriously... I agree with you. Odin Allfather, save us; O muse, please inspire the EB team to repair BI.
First RTW- now this crap?
:furious3: :bigcry:
and of course a unit of screeching lady guinevere's.Quote:

This is almost as bad as the priests.
So what? It's not like you guys will buy BI, so why are you worried about its units?
And how does this relate to EB at all? Mock CA all you want, they'll be laughing all the way to the bank, and if you are going to mock them, don't do it under EB's subforums. (If you can come up with 1 good reason why the topic is in here I'll eat my pants)

That's a remarkably good point. The only reason I laughed is because somewhere deep down inside of me, I'm still expecting CA to be historically correct, but I wasn't lying when I said I can't wait to get my hands on BI, I'll just have to take it for what it is, which will be fine, as long as they improve the AI and some other major issues.
Besides, it will probably be a good base for further mod-building. Probably.... Hopefully...
And who doesn't want to make a driveby on a unit of priests with chariot ballistae? Honestly guys.
I don't.Quote:

The frustrating thing is that they are selling this game as at least partially historically accurate. But these knights are not in the least bit accurate- not any more than war dogs.
I am not expecting CA to deliver an historically accurate game, i expect them to deliver a game that is fun to play. Historical accuracy can be achieved by modding the game, and so it's done by the fans.
CA just can't stand the ground of historical accuracy with the moders, so why blaming them for going nuts and proposing this kind of stuff ? They don't put a sticker on the box claiming "historical accuracy inside" as far as i know, so what is the problem ?
From what I have seen, they do everything BUT that. Or maybe it's just me.Quote:

I mean, blaming mods for the save/reload bug when it was a problem long before mods shows a baffling lack of touch with their player community.
Well, for all those hoping EB will do a BI-era mod, it can't even be considered if we don't have a substantial influx of new members. We won't have anyone to make new units or buildings, everyone is busy with the vanilla-era mod.
A-historical units or no, I'll probably be buying BI. It didn't spoil my fun in RTW, and hopefully it will come with an improved AI.
That said, it's a wacky unit.
Well, there were the geisha and kensai in STW, sherwood foresters in WI and Arcani in RTW to name others.... I guess you're right, historical accuracy is not to be expected, but I still feel like they are taking their games to a whole new level with BI.
But personally I don't think the games get's funnier to play the more nuts they go. I mean seriously, are the unhistorical units of vanilla RTW better looking than those of EB? At least we can't say that we should expect a better look from a design point of view from the mod-community.
And no, I don't want to do drivebys with chariot ballistae, I was just....
Did anyone suggest CA to create a "Zout followers" unit ? It would be made of virgin women held in a monastery since the age of sixteen for 10 years and unleashed on the battlefield, hungry for you-know-what. Their banner would be a magic light in the shape of a grail...
All right, i know where is the exit.
lol, lets go to Jerusalem.:D
yeah.. of course..Quote:

and please people..thread is about teh unit..not CA.
my smiley said: kill all knights...not: kill CA..~;)
This model is quite good......for Lord of the Rings MOD or Arthurian Britain MOD. The unit name+description is crap........ The Brit. Graal is a false relic that never existed in any other place than the Pope's faith and CA's fantasy.
If this isn't illegal, EB could use this model ( with alot of modifications, of course) for the SECRET-UBER-EASTERN FACTION-GIVE-ME-ACTION OF BARTIX.
I've played a bit of BI now and I have to say that I am disappointed in everyway that one can be disappointed.
I blame Sega. If only CA could be rich like Blizzard and not be under the enslavement of a generic game publishing company... then all will be right with the world.
Really I guess my biggest beef with BI is not the lack of historical accuracy, but rather the increditably rushed feel of the game. All the units seem to be copies of other units, I think in total CA might have created all of 15-20 new models. I think just about EVERY faction shares the same horse archer model, even the skins differ just by color. They were very, very lazy with this game.
I have stopped playing BI and will not start again until an acceptable TOTAL OVERHAUL mod comes by.
back on topic..wich seems to be "NOOOoooooo" i also found this:
