I got BI!
Woo. That was fun. ~:)
I don't have it ~:mecry:
I'm climbing the bloody walls here :hide:
2 more days ~:handball:
I got it. Wohoo.
What I think of now is that if I had ordered earlier, I could have gotten it at the same time as Stalin, perhaps even earlier.
Anyone who posts "I got it" must post screenshots and/or do research into action items like:
Increased # factions allowed?
Increased # models allowed?
Increased # buildings allowed?
And other modding questions.
I'll take this one: nope. (of course we already knew this from the faq at the .com site...).Quote:

....map seems same style......Battle AI is somewhat better...altho the Burgundians just sat there until I walked up and fired arrows....but the West Romans swept left and then stabbed cav at me......my center crumbled and he ran cav up into the gap.....but I staunched the flow and when I killed his general he crumbled.
Something new.....when the barbarians lose their last city they go on the march.....the horde goes in search of a new city, conquers it and goes back to work. Seems like a nice portrayal of the displacement.
Burgundians have good cav, but they couldnt stand up in melee.....Saxons have good foot but weak cav.
Goin back in
D
Got it after work today...
Reinstalling RTW as we speak (easier than trying to clear out the mods)...
My story too... ~DQuote:

and you don't have to do anything about the v1.2 reinstall problem because you don't have to reinstall v1.2.Quote:

Lucky, lucky people...
Sethik: not the most wise post if you ask me...
CBR
You don't need the patch... BI will bring you to 1.3.Quote:

Downloading or installing...Cause one of those is illegal.. ~;)
An install will not take two hours, but so blatant a reference to piracy is unlikely. Moreover I doubt an image has been made this early. And pirating rather than support this fine product is wrong, if piracy is being referred to, which hopefully is not the case.
I think you would be surprised... unfortunately... :furious3:Quote:

Box Contents: The disc is in one of the paper holders with a clear celophane circle in front. No jewel box, apparently an industry standard. A rulebook and a Sega product registration card.
Time to install: 5 minutes on a 2.0 ghz machine, not including time to read the end user license agreement.
No readme file. [CORRECTION: Oh yes there is. You access it from the main menu.]
Playable factions: Huns, Goths,Samarians, Vandals, Franks, Saxons, Sassanids, Alemanni, Eastern and Western Romans.
You must use the R:TW disc to play R:TW campaigns. You cannot load an old campaign while using the BI disc.
Video options are a little different. You can turn "grass" completely off, for instance.
The game looks much better. I set unit detail on low to have the smoothest possible operation. The units and animations looked so good, I rechecked my settings.
I've complained often about graphics wagging the gamplay dog, but to be truthful, this game is gorgeous.
Just tested Hun horde HA against Goth spearmen. Horde units, at least this Hun one, only had "horde" formation, like peasants in R:TW. Will check further.
lol. Yea they have an image. Now why the hell would I know tho? ~;)Quote:

Pssst, there is an empty slot for a fourth disc in the RTW jewel case ~;) It's were my BI lives (when not in the drive).Quote:

Not gloating or anything....
To be honest, she fired it up first and started with the Sarmatians. The Huns soon attacked her only city en masse and she called on me to fight the battle (Easy difficulty). It was a night battle and I was hopelessly outnumbered so I couldn't resist.
A good thing I noticed is that the AI *seems* to be using alternate routes through the city to a greater extent. While my general was fighting down by the gate and chasing routers, I had a couple enemy units work their way around through the back & side paths.
Of course it was on Easy, but I still feel pretty good about my crappy 200 men seeing off 1000 Huns. ~D Will start my own game probably tonight.
CountMRVHS
I got it this morning. Though I'm fitting a stair carpet today and wont get a chance to play it until tonight. :wall:
You're kidding, right? Do people actually read those things? ~:)Quote:
