Playing RTW with the BI exe

Can this be done through modding?
I've got a few ideas about enhanching the imperial campaign with some BI tricks, but since I'm not an expert modder I really hope there is a relatively simple way...

No reason why it can't be done....but :

I doubt VERY much that you could just move the BI exe over and play a game. More likely, you would have to replace all the BI factions with RTW ones, move across all the models, and re-write the text files to suit. No reason AT ALL why that wouldn't work!
