Questions from a TW vet but RTW noob

Hello all. Finally bought RTW (got a used copy cheap) and the BI Expansion (had to buy that one new and pay full price, grrrr). I just installed both of them, and have a few questions.

1) With MTW, after the VI expansion was installed, you only needed the VI desktop icon and could launch using the VI CD but could then play either VI or MTW from the same game menu. This does not appear to be the case with RTW. It appears that RTW and BI are two separate games, and I have to choose which one I want to play, insert the appropriate CD, and launch with the correct icon depending on whether I want to play RTW or BI. Is this correct, or am I missing something?

2) I have downloaded Patch 1.3 for RTW, but have not yet installed it. Is it necessary to install if I have already installed BI?

3) Is there a separate patch for BI?

4) From reading this forum I see that player1 has come up with his own "bug fixer" patches for both RTW and BI. Do I need to install both of them, or just the one for BI?

I'm so confused...

1: It does appear you need to switch cds to use the different campaigns, but i've been too caught up playing BI to try yet.

2: The 1.3 patch is only for people who have RTW installed, if you have RTW and BI installed your RTW is already updated.

3: No patch out for BI yet, the 1.3 patch was just bringing RTW up to the same patch/adding multiplayer compatibility with BI RTW.

4: You'd have to talk to player1 or someone using the mod to be sure, but I think the patches are seperate for each campaign. So just install the BI bugfixer if you want to use it for BI.
