Emergent factions in RTW 1.3 - possible?

I noticed that descr_events in 1.3 has changed to become similiar to BI. It mentions in comments to list factions in descr_strat as emergent.

I did this for parthia and it loaded, but I lost right away since I didn't exist yet. ~D

However, with any other faction it crashes and when you hit end turn. Parthia's provinces are empty rebel cities.

It's entirely possible that the entries' are just leftovers, but I want to make sure since it would be nice if it could work.

Could someone with BI go over how emergent factions work for it? (I don't have it)

I haven't tried it yet, but at very least you would also need to update the descr_sm_factions.txt file to define how the faction spawns. For example, the Slavs are listed as:

Hmm, still crashes and no error message. What does it look like in descr_strat for emergent factions?

I don't believe that the emergent feature is supported in 1.3.
