Sounds file won't rebuild!
After a brief mess about, I don't seem to be able to get the SFX.idx file to rebuild. I have extracted it, changed a couple of files about to put in some new sounds, and it won't re-build.
The 'build' batch file doesn't automatically re-build any of the files, and needs editing. I edited it to build the SFX files, bu I get an error saying it cannot open any of hte subfolders....wierd!
Can anyone give me any pointers how to re-build these sounds files? Obviousely....for a Robot mod....the normal human voices are just no good at all!

I don't know about BI, but in vanilla you don't need to repack sound files to get them working. Just put them in appropriate folders.

Oh yes...I have them working fine... I just wanted to tidy things back up by re-packing the archive with the new files. It annoys me a little to leave lots of messy files lurking around instead of a nice neat archive!

Maybe there's the same problem that we are having with the animations, something's changed with the files and now they won't pack properly.
