How u make those map movies..

So how r they made and with what?

I can make maps...hehe sort of....
But may give it a shot @ the movie part?

in the past, for stw/we/mi, you made a screenshot, coverted it to a particular size and format and simply named it the same name as the map with the pic's format extension instead of '.map'. i havent tried the new ones yet, but from what i can tell, they are using the images in 'mapimage', which is in a different size than the stw/we/mi ones, but i suspect all that they are doing is the same thing. make a screenshot, size it, or crop it to the right same size as those in the 'mapimage' directory, make the format .lbm and name it the same as the map, but with the .lbm extension. i believe the game program then just scrolls across that image to simulate the panning effect you see in the game.

like i say, i havent actually tried this yet, but from what i can see in the files, i suspect that's the way it's done.
