Trying to take my 1st furtive step into modding. Will probably inadvertantly hack Pentagon's Auto Launch System but I'm willing to take the chance.
Out of curiousity, is there any way to disable technologies or limit a campaign to say Early/High periods for example?
This question probably shows how much I have to learn.

I think this would work:
Go to campmap/startpos/early.txt
The date lines are like this:
SetStartDate:: 1087
SetPeriod:: EARLY
SetEarlyPeriodStartDate:: 1087
SetHighPeriodStartDate:: 1205
SetLatePeriodStartDate:: 1321
So if u change the high and late periods to 1453 they would start in that period which is actually the end of the campaign.

You might have if this would disable Late period technology.
What I'm after, and what I think would have been a good feature in the game, is to be able to play a full campaign before the advent of gunpowder and one after. I see that there are those working on Roman mods and Dark Age mods so I assume that this can somehow be done.
Of course the level of skill involved might be way over my head in which case I'll just anxiously wait for the the above mods to be finished.
