Ad.Doubleclick at org "screen shot"
ok the Well known Spyware web syndicate DOUBLEclick
Seem to be utilizing this forum.
MOST good friewalls popup blockers spy ware removers Will block this company,
also its possible to Download a cookie that will stop there Pestering ways,
But i am wondering WHY they have been allowed to Load up with your page,
Screen shot has to be a link, But here is an attempt at a screen shot.

NOTE the bottom part of the picture...
where it tells you whats being loaded on the page,
Its Ad.DOUBLECLICK.net And EVERY 1 should know that They Are Far from reputable.
And any accosiation that a web page has with them can only serve to deminish that web page's reputation.
if the link provided Displays. page cannot be displayed,
Then check again later,
Its probably the URL forwarding service thats causing it to fail,
and it will most likely be up and running again in a few mins,.
Re: Ad.Doubleclick at org "screen shot"
I was seeing that a few weeks ago. I was running Mozilla 1.7.8, and every page I viewed I would see the doubleclick line at the bottom. Since I have popups blocked, I wasn't too worried about it, it didn't seem to affect me at all. I recently updated my Mozilla to 1.7.12, and I no longer see it.
Re: Ad.Doubleclick at org "screen shot"
They've always been there, and nothing bads happened yet, apart from the occasional pop-up invasion.

.
Block their cookies permanently in the cookie manager.
Install AddBlock and filter them out using:
Code:
http://*.doubleclick.net/*.*
.

You can also get a cookie that will deny them from sending you any more,
But thats not the point.
Why are they here Infesting peoples computers,
and why does the org Allow it?
I have a web page It has No adds No popups No Doubleclick.net Stuff.
I have made web pages for local companys (I put more effort in to them than my own) But they also are add free, pop up free and, Doubleclick.net free
I dont understand why The org would allow doubleclick.net to load up with their page.
Adverts i can understand for Funding the page... But doubleclick??

Shambles,
AFAIK the ORG admins have no control over what the host allows. Still, AFAIK, the ORG is hosted for free and the "price" for free hosting is having to eat whatever ads the host sees fit to impose upon the ORG.
Given the hugeness of the database and the bandwidth required to handle the daily traffic, I guess "free" hosting is the only option for the ORG to survive.

Ah ok I understand,
I still think its a bit bad to be forced to use Known Spyware to be allowed to make your forum,
But on the plus side doubleclick.net is not difficult to remove aslong as you know its there.
And its not malicious either.
I just dont relish the thought of being spyed on without my premission or any warning about the matter.

It is malicious, in a way. It can slow down your computer.
