RTW 1.3 Map Editing - Help Needed

Hello guys... got a problem with RTW 1.3 and it might be in BI too (don't know).

It seems that map_heights is hardcoded or something like this, I tried to bring maps from RTW 1,2 didn't worked (do everything properly). Anyway , today I realised this after failure in creating an island.. After I was editing map_heights the game was simply starting with the base map_heights. If I delete map_heights.hgt the game would have CTD just before proceeding to the new campaign.
Everyone who wants to help me... please try editing map_heights on RTW 1,3 and tell me if it worked and if you encountered any problems.
