Remember the cav swipe :)
whatever it was called -- clan Raven surely abused it to its full extent ~D
I just reinstalled MTW; playing some mods now, but I might just tune in again later on ;)

Re: CUNHAOOOOOOO - the good ol times
I'm afraid RTW and inactivity have had their effects on my tactical skills... I just lost a battle against the Mercians with the bloody Vikings ~

In vanilla MTW swiping has almost become an accepted behavior, many players there boast of being the best swipers.
Of course its still an exploit and damn cheezy, but its fun to drop in there occassionally to beat guys that haven't taken the time to learn anything but swipin

Re: CUNHAOOOOOOO - the good ol times
Vikings are prolly the worst faction in the viking era wizard ~;)
Best factions are those that can field celtic warriors.

Re: CUNHAOOOOOOO - the good ol times
actually the irish are one of the more dangerous factions to watch out for in viking period, bonnachts = celtic warrior with javlins  sure they dont have any archers but a decent general doesnt need them
anyway, been a bit inactive from VI just lately, got myself a few new games, so ive been erm.. busy? hehe
-
Re: CUNHAOOOOOOO - the good ol times
Kalle -- I had prior to this never lost a battle with the Vikings. Even online facing those dastardly Welsh and their longbows ~;)
But, yep, those celtic warriors are nasties for sure ~D
-
Re: CUNHAOOOOOOO - the good ol times
elmo and goat had a nasty one two punch with two irish on one flank ;)
other than that, i've never won an online battle in mtw or vi ~:)
-
Re: CUNHAOOOOOOO - the good ol times
picts easily best faction for vikings, pict xbows are immense and supported by mounted/footed nobles.

Re: CUNHAOOOOOOO - the good ol times
What the heck is "cunhao"?? "In-laws" in Portuguese? That was my best guess. I am perplexed.

Re: CUNHAOOOOOOO - the good ol times
Yes, cunhão is just like cuñado in spanish, but don't ask further info; if you weren't on VI MP during those times, you won't understand the thing at all heh
Let's just say that "GAH" is closer to dictionary status than this;)
-
Re: CUNHAOOOOOOO - the good ol times
is gah in the dictionary?
-
Re: CUNHAOOOOOOO - the good ol times
GAH Scurv GAH!
(I guess you did see this coming eh)
-
Re: CUNHAOOOOOOO - the good ol times
erm..due to me not being able to find "gah" in the dictionary, i dont actually know what "gah" means, so no, i didnt see it coming :help:

Same for me. Some of my favorite moments were any game hosted by Elmo or Bachus. Elmo used all thoes range armies and Bachus was always getting us all drunk. And anytime Krast degided to drop in meant you indeed in for an entertaining night GAH. Rolls eyes knashes teeth.
Joining RTK and fighting in all those great CWC and CWB tourneys. Most of all th community itself. Each clan had its own personality. The level of competiton was unreal. Hats off to the Wolves , Elites and Celtis who always managed to stay at or near the top. Not an easything to do in that game.
But most of all it was the civility and sense of honor that was displyed by all. I have never seen anything like it in any other game. Oh that we could return to those days of the past when the Fears, Masters, Mizu, RVN, FFs, RTK, Kenchi, Insanes, MK, Deathby, Bears, Aggonies, DC, VKC, RW, TC, VDM, and those already mentioned and many more to whom I apologize to for not mentioning all rode to the sound of battle upon the battfields of MTW/VI.
May these memories never fade from my mind.
