Unit/Building/Tree Shadows in RTW 1.3
One of the very best graphical improvements in RTW 1.3 are the very realistic unit, building and tree shadows in RTW 1.3 that cast onto the ground. I have not really read very many comments on this in the forums, even though I find they add a great deal to the appearance. I think the improvement is contained in the new folder called "Shaders. Does anyone know if there is a way these improved shadows could be brought over to the RTW 1.2 platform so that mods such as RTR 6.3 could have the benefit of the effect? I tried adding the "Shaders" folder to the 1.2 Data file but it had no impact at all. Any ideas?

I actually hate those things because it makes me loose FPS. 1.2 runs smoother by far. Plus I doubt most average graphic cards could handle it and get decent frame rates.
I think it's hardcoded though. So you might need to wait for RTR's expansion into BI.
