In BI, the nomad culture has 381 UI portraits. Can I add more tga to increase this number, or is there some kind of hardcoded limit to the number of portrait/culture ?

I thought there was a limit, but I'm not sure. There are certainly some things that can't be changed though, like the photo that the faction leader defaults to on startup for that faction.
Theres probarbly a limit somewhere, but for time sake mainly CA wouldn't have used them all up. You could try by pasting 100 or so from another culture, but i wouldn't worry too much.
If you wanted you could replace a portrait..:san_cool:
