SAN FRANCISCO - A police officer who produced videos parodying life on the force was suspended Thursday after the mayor and police chief blasted the vignettes as racist, sexist and homophobic.

I'd have to see the actual video made by the officers before deciding if it was in good taste or bad. I'm also wary of people throwing around the standard charges of "racist, sexist and homophobic". And suspending 20 officers for making a funny movie is a bit much, unless it was a totally outrageous.
But I guess now that they've banned handguns in San Fran, the police have loads of free time since criminals have turned in their guns.

Whaaaaatever. Like making a video is illegal.
Re: Police Officer Comic Relief goes to far......
The behavior of the police chief and mayor is outrageous; I've seen most of the video and its really funny, cops making fun of themselves.
I also watched the news conference and the police chief is wound way too tight, completely over the top politically correct, absolutely zero sense of proportion or humor. The mayor is making this out to be a big deal when I'm sure there are real deals that he could be attending to.

Sounds funny to me, but I haven't seen the clip.
As long as it was made by consenting adults for a private audience I don't see the problem.
