No victory for ERE rebels

I'm not sure how this all happened but something really strange happend when I was playing ERE.After long and hard campaign I had ERE down to one settlement :

Couple of turns later the time has come for final assault.I managed to take take Pergamum only to see this :

I have tried to play again ( save point) and waited 6 turns for city to surrender with exactly the same effect.Perhaps removing "shadowing empire_east" from descr_sm_factions would make the difference ?

How bizarre. I think you're right. I'll have to try this out in my own WRE rebels game.

I have deleted rwm file and removed "shadowed_by" from both factions ERE and ERE rebels.It seem to be working now - I can contiune campaign :gring:

What, in your previous game?
Btw, the ERE rebels don't have a victory condition set in vanilla BI, maybe that's the problem?

Yeah, I have removed "shadow" entries from from descr_sm_factions , reloaded previously saved game , I can carry on playing with ERE destroyed as faction.
