Accensi (Spoil,spoil spooooileeeers)
Well, I just have a few questions on the Romani, particularly their lower level troops, ie, accensi, roarii, etc.
The question is, if they are the poorest of the citizens, then surely they would be easier to recruit that more expensive hastati, principes and triarii, and yet the single unit of accensi has 30 men while a single unit of triarii has 42, principes 41 and hastati 40, on the same unit size setting (obviously).
So is it supposed to be that way? and if it is, could someone explain why? please?

See how much the accensi cost to raise and retain (compared to the rest)? There lies the answer.
Re: Accensi (Spoil,spoil spooooileeeers)
ok, they are dirt cheap, but still, a few other slings would come handy...
Anyway, as it seemed inappropriate to open a thread for just one dumb question, I'll let you know that the proper descriptions for mercenary and trainable Caetrati and Leuce Epos is missing and there is some waffle about general's bodyguards armed with spears instead. I was just thinking that maybe baseball bats with nails in 'em would be handier, but those generals have so little imagination...:tongueg:
