I think it would be possible to mount men on dogs. If I make some changes in the right places.
But unfortunetly i am not a good modder yet. So i dont have a clue. Somebody knows if or how it is possible`??

spose just pop the model of a dog onto the frame of the horse
im not too good in max but i spose with many hours someone could make it work

No, it cannot be done with just text, unfortunately. The game engine looks for a mount bone to base the rider's position and dogs and pigs has none. Also unfortunate, there is no known way to change the name of a bone of a skeleton or adding a new one.
The only possible way to have dogs and pigs as mount is to transplant their model on a horse, camel or elephant skeleton. Of course, they won't move like those animals until you change the animations accordingly. But even if you did all those, you'd still end up with dogs/pigs with some horse sounds.
