The black sea strikes back
It's not really an EB bug so I'm posting this here.
A problem I had with vanilla RTW was that after a battle when I come back to the campaign map, the water would change to a black texture. Same holds true after I turn off fow and back on. The only way to get it back to normal was to minimize the game and open it again. For some reason, this wasn't the case in RTR, which was good because it's tedious having to do that after every battle. Unfortunately, that bug is back now with EB. I was just wondering if anyone here knew anything about that or has any ideas on to how to fix it.
Graphics drivers and all that are updated and whatnot. I have a stock Dell so no Nvidia or any other video cards, just the Intel one. Anyone else experiencing this?
Re: The black sea strikes back
Yeah, I get this. I figure it's something with my video card. I have a stock Intel card (64MB RAM) that must be some kind of cheapo nVidia clone that gives me the white trees in the desert and black ocean after battles, too.
We may have a bad setting in our preferences.txt file. This didn't happen to me with vanilla, but I probably changed something in there at one time and screwed it up.
Re: The black sea strikes back
I not only had the white trees in the desert, but I had the black land too after snow battles. It's the video card not liking RTW - or the other way around. Either way there is absolutely 0% chance we can fix it in EB.
Re: The black sea strikes back
~:( Sad, even the devs have problems. I wonder why it happens sometimes and not other times? Is there any way to pinpoint the reasons?

Black is beautiful.
