Princess of Whales
"I want to do good things"
:inquisitive:
Whoa ... is it even legal to be that cheesy?
It is a bit sick really.
Lol, I always thought she was a bit of a munter but I wouldn't call her a whale :laugh4:
What`s the point? Pretty sick.
where can you get them.
I was hoping they'd make her fat though, what's a whale princess without blubber? bah

Of all the examples held up of crass American consumerism and at the same time ignorance, this one takes the cake. There are a lot of criticisms I take offense to with regards to my nation and fellow citizens. Unfortunately, this just makes us look bad on several fronts, and is inexcusable. The only thing for which I can hope is that we determine the reason for the misspelling is that the toy was designed & manufactured overseas (such as Mexico or China) by someone with only a passing familiarity with the English language. I would hope that the majority of my countrymen, particularly captains of the toy industry, would know the difference between 'whales' and 'Wales', but sadly I'm afraid I would not make book on it.
Don,
I fear that your countrymen do not realise that you must be immense to be any member of the royal family of whales. It's very sad.

Fair enough, I got bit but you know what I mean. "Overseas manufacturers" is a wide reaching catchphrase that means 'cheap foreign labor'. It's not as though you didn't know what I meant. :inquisitive:Quote:

Well, I still hang my head in embarrassment that this product holds an American trademark number. And Doc Bean, all frowns aside, I did see the humor in light of at least a minor sub-portion of this thread being about grammatical/spelling errors. I was just trying to play along. There was actually a young adult fantasy book I never read but meant to that was highlighted in my school library (oh, musta been ~1980) titled The Prince of Whales, and if I remember the book jacket properly, supposedly there was a psychic bond of some sort between the rightful heir to the throne (which was an ordinary boy, NOT Charlie) and the son of the head of a pod of humpbacks. Must have been crap though, because knowing what I know now, humpbacks don't school and therefore, don't have a king, or a prince for that matter.
But with its strangely disjointed ankles, garish make-up and unconvincing hair, it bears little resemblance to the late princess
Hey I thought they had at least got that part right , despite the spelling mistakes in her title .
Now if they can add brainless and patronising to the features they will have it down perfect .
Tribesman, you forgot to add 'urging a criminally drunk driver to speeding at 200 km/h in an inner city because you don't want people taking a snapshot of you cheating your husband'.
Reminds me of our malebox. it said male for as long as I could remember then this year I found out my parents were idiots. Its not male its Male. Were not all stupid geezQuote:

Is it still patronizing if you really do believe you are better than they are?Quote:

Seamus , I am just going on what people who knew her and had dealings with her have told me , basically patrionising , vain , self publicity seeking , oh and as thick as pig excrement :laugh4:
Of all the British royals these people deal with she is the only one they all slag off , though each to varying degrees are critical of Phillip , Fergie , Edward and Camilla in pretty much that order .
And yet, for some reason, her death caused the country to go into some kind of collective grief freefall.
I've never been able to figure that one out.
I didn't.
Had nothing against Diana, but I must note that I felt a greater sense of loss when Graham Chapman went.
