Elephant paintings/clothes, question
Correct me if I am all wrong but didn't people painted elephants when these animals were drawn to the war and in certain ceremonies, especially Indians. I have tought that they did that as part of their religion. Also many countries used "more" colorful clothes on elephants when going to fight than in mod.
Just an example picture from google. Not from source or anything.

Not that I have issues with elephants in mod at the moment. Just want to know am I all wrong, are new skins coming or is it impossible.
Cheers!

Seriously.... was my question so stupid that no one have even opinion regarding this. :embarassed:
Re: Elephant paintings/clothes, question
I think that war elephants were sometimes paint in red on the head and the ears for them not to be afraid by blood.
Re: Elephant paintings/clothes, question
It depends on who's using them. I think EB's elephants aren't yet complete, so give it time, if that was the purpose of the thread.
Re: Elephant paintings/clothes, question
Well, even though we have indian elephants, they weren't fighting only in India. Mostly it's greeks and sometimes in vastly different areas. If we could spare indian units that had skins for variants only in India, I suspect it would be something we would look into much more. But indians wouldn't be decorating elephants in Syria or Epeiros I think.
