Beta Released!
Two months later than expected, an almost brand new team has finally finished working on the public beta of this mod. It features eight playable factions: Achaemenid Persia, the Pandyan Kingdom, the Kemetic Empire, Sakae, Poleis Iades, Taras, Athenai and last but not least: Lakadaimon. These factions are placed on a map stretching from the tip of India to Italy. This means it's a very diverse mod. You can choose to attack rising Persia from the east with Pandya, trembling them with your mighty elephants, or strive for leadership over Hellas as one of the Hellenic factions, with your hoplites, or just conquer them all as Persia itself, with probably the most accurate Achaemenid Persian army possible.
Ultimately, we will have an AOR kind of recruitment, but we're still thinking about the exact format, like faction-specific recruitment buildings or just the vanilla buildings.
We'd also like to announce another mod focusing on Persia, but now on the Rise of the Sassanid Dynasty. Spurius is going to be the team leader of this project, and is currently recruiting members to join ROP II.
We planned to release the beta at 7 PM today (GMT), but due to a March snowstorm, which also caused the Dutch Railways to delay the trains, and slow uploading of the beta, wé delayed the release for half an hour. :cool:
