McDonalds Units -- Supersizing
This has probably been noted before, but I was unable to locate the thread using the search engine.
It is possible to supersize your units in Vanilla through re-training.
Steps:
1. Move damaged units into city.
2. Initiate re-train command for damaged units.
3. Hit "M" to merge units.
4. Units will merge, but previous additions to soldier totals will be added to the units anyway, leaving you with surplus men in several units.
Personal record is a 120-member Roman Archer Auxilia (base 81).
Have others noted this (expect so)?
Was it corrected, and by what patch?
Re: McDonalds Units -- Supersizing
Doesn't seem so much of a bug as an exploit.
Re: McDonalds Units -- Supersizing
I don't think this is possible since the BI invasion, or the latest patch.
Re: McDonalds Units -- Supersizing
Hi
Looked interesting.
Immediately went and tried it. RTW V1.5. Couldnt get this to work on a fleet of damaged Biremes in Thermon. They merged but the training queue also updated itself and only trained the one remaining understrength ship.
Re: McDonalds Units -- Supersizing
Clearly cleaned up by BI if not before. Thanks for the info.
