New Video Card, No Campaigns

I recently got a new graphics card (Geforce FX 5200 AGP)for my computer and now I cannot play EB campaigns. About 5-10 seconds after starting a campaign my screen goes dark and I can't do anything. I can play for about 5-10 minutes with the Yuezhi and Baktria for some reason, but it always will go dark. I uninstalled and was able to play normal RTW campaigns fine. After reinstalling EB the problem has not gone away. The only other game that I have tried that has this problem is Close Combat V, but it works fine after I uninstalled/reintstalled it.

This is only a guess:
Maybe it has something to do with Resolution settings and/or the Hertz Number of your Monitor.

Yes, this sounds like a resolution/refresh rate incompatibility with your monitor. You may also want to try a utility to ensure your graphics card is not overheating. I assume you've gone online and downloaded the latest drivers?

I have tried every possible combination of refresh rates and screen resolutions but still no luck. It doesn't make a darn bit of sense. If anyone has any other idea of what might be causing this I would love to hear it.

I could always put my old card in, but I have played a full sized custom battle on large unit scale and have no great desire to go back to normal.

Try unistalling the drivers that you have for the new card and instal an older version. Sometimes this does the trick.

Yes, I just did that last Friday. I installed the old drivers and put a fan in in now my campaigns work perfectly. I'm playing as Iberia.
