MKII I guess, it expanded so much on the MK formula.

I'm not a fan of the 3D mortal kombats.

Never played a Mortal Combat...

More of a street fighter guy myself.

I also say II by far. II was the epitome of the concept. The best characters, the best atmosphere, the best villains, the best fatalities/friendships/babalities. A sheer masterpiece.

Those after II were huge downgrades in my view.

I agree with you, except that 4 hit the nail on the head in everything but aesthetic (never did play Gold, though...). For me, it's a toss-up between II and 4.

Street Fighter 2 on the Amiga all the way, loved the 5 or so floppy discs. :wall:
