A mod to be Rebels?

-not- ERER or WRER, but the actual Rebels. I think it would be challenging and interesting. On the All Factions Mod you can play them but cannot recruit units. I was trhinking maybe a mod to make regional units, if your city is in the desrt you can make egypt, or whatever faction your closest to, ditto for being in the barbarian lands. Anyone know of a mod like this?

sorry mate... it is possible but it is full of CTD's every step of the way
i tried it on 1.2 by just changing their entry in descr_strat from unplayable to playable and i couldn't survive 2 turns before it crashed on me... i don't expect it to be any better with BI :embarassed:

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to recruit units playing the rebels - I certainly have done. Only you have to be quick because your treasury will go into the red almost immediately.

RTW will CTD if you try and disembark a rebel banner from a ship. That's not the case in BI. I don't know what other CTDs might exist for it though.

i had a CTD when another province rebelled... when a rebel army appeared and also when i trained a unit... but i think that could have been just my shoddy coding as it was quite a while ago
