Why is it that my government buildings outside the italian peninsula become 100% damaged when I recieve the first reform?
Also, in provinces close to the mountain range, such as segestica seem to act like a type II government if I destroy the type III, but there is no government established at all.
You should post this in the Bugs subforum orwell, that's where the people dealing with this look.
A few people have reported government buildings being damaged for some reason (*their* govt buildings I should say - as the old govt ones before you take a province are supposed to be damaged of course). This hasn't happened too often (I've seen three or so mentions of it) that we've had brought to our attention, and every time the next time the person loaded up the game (or after one or two reloads) the problem just went away. We don't know what caused it or what stopped it, but it's a weird glitch that we haven't been able to test enough (and our scripting abilities right now aren't very strong).
Dunno what is going on with your segestica govt. You say it seems to act like a type 2, but I don't really understand that. We have a few units that are still recruitable in some places without any govts - that may be what you are referring to. We are trying to eliminate all recruitment possibilities that take place without governments though. Maybe we'll have them ironed out by the next build.
Didn't really seem like a bug to me as just something that I didn't get, hence why I posted it in general. It wasn't all cities either, I think... it might be all the ones that didn't have a governer. I'd post a save game but its already been a while after it.
As far as my government, what I mean is that I had a type III built in some area's, and it showed what I could construct as very limited, I couldn't build any more sewers to stop overwhelming squalor or many other Type I province buildings. After the reforms I noticed that the building was at 100% so I decided to just smash it and see if I could build a type II or I. I couldn't, but now I could build more sewers, and the fullest form of all buildings, exactly as if I had a type I or possibly II government building when I actually didn't have one at all. I do however have a Consular palace? the final form of the government building, so maybe what I can build is still tied to that and not the actual type government buildings?
