Yes it's actually pretty funny to see americans (some of them, of course) and nazis agreeing on something. Don't you think?:laugh4:

Re: Racist game spreads hate over immigration debate
I always found it ironic to see the neo nazis in America who claim to be patriots running around waving the flag of the belief that killed 300,000+ Americans 65 years ago.

Re: Racist game spreads hate over immigration debate
Steady, Lads.
Let's put away the broadbrushes as inappropriate here, and perhaps persue a discussion about how internet silliness can affect a grown-up political debate - or something of that nature.
The fact that such a site/game exists likely surprises nobody here. The question is: does its existence enhance or detract from the conversation about human movement thru national borders.
Your opinion?

Re: Racist game spreads hate over immigration debate

:laugh4: LoL. No personal offense intended, o'course. I'm sure you are a sure-shot.
I just wonder what effect the playing of such a game, where you play defender, might have on the US immigration/rush the border conversatiion might have. What are your thoughts?

Re: Racist game spreads hate over immigration debate
None, because most people have already made up their minds on the issue. The thing that will really change the minds of folks if May 1st comes around and the illegals and their supporters do attempt to shut down the major cities in the US. You'll see a LOT more people coming to the side of building a wall and dislike for illegals quicker than Mexican water causes diarea.

Well done. After you and Dave complete your preliminary training on this game, you'll be ready to graduate to the next game in the series: Gas a Jew.
I wish you Godspeed and the best of luck on your endeavors.
You are true defenders of the American Way of Life.

Re: Racist game spreads hate over immigration debate
I have a problem with the neo-nazis, racists, and others who undermine this legitimate economic and social concern.
By fomenting cultural hate, these people destroy the credibility of those who want a real solution.
The game might be appropriate if we weren't "killing" the targets, but doing something else instead. Maybe pepper spray. ~;)
I have no problem with the stereotypes. They actually need a few more to make the mix work. How about MS-13 gang bangers or, the bulk, poor unskilled labor simply looking for work?
edit: And by the way, there are stereotypes for everyone. I would even call myself a stereotype, with my super-trooper aviator sunglasses and mustache, happily dishing out traffic tickets to the helpless and innocent.
I feel for these folks, I really do. I would do the same thing as they. But we cannot open our borders and import poverty and then ask why our taxes no longer support our infrastructure.

Err.because you've got an expensive war going on ? Because you've got to start paying of that few trillion dollar debt ? Because of corrupt politicians who make more than their entire voter base put together ? Because of pork belly politics ? Because the government desperately tries to keep the oil price down, paying money to the industry ?
Honestly, the cost of illegal immigration is minor in comparison to the really big money drains.

Then again I've had a lot of practice shooting people online.

Hmmm. Okay Dave, let me ask you: when can we safely say a person is a racist?
Apparently playing racist, hate-based games doesn't make a person racist.
Nor does enjoying and using racist humor.
Nor does making broad, derogatory generalizations about entire ethnic groups.
I guess unless we have actual video footage (accompanied by several eye-witness accounts) of somebody dressed in a Klan outfit beating a black guy with a club while shouting "I am beating this black man bacause I am a racist!" then we have to give them the benefit of the doubt.
My apologies.

You live in Belgium. You don't have a clue how bad it is. I have articulated my points on this issue in many, many, many threads.
I do agree that there are many other costs, but illegal immigration is destroying the Southwest United States and spreading throughout the U.S.

Re: Racist game spreads hate over immigration debate
I have to line up in the 'not so cool' side on this one. I could design a video game where it's a hybrid first person shooter/flight simulator. In the first half, the first person shooter half, you sneak weapons onto a plane, sieze control of the plane, kill anyone that resists you, and take control of the cockpit. Then, the game morps into a flight simulator, where you have to steer the plane and crash it into a landmark. You get points for the product of two factors: how many people you kill in the crash and the historical/cultural signficance of the building you take out (The Empire State building counts for 100x multiplier, the TransAmerican Tower only counts for 60x). I could time the release for the 5 year anniversery of Sept 11th later this year. And of course, I could add the catch-all disclaimer 'Its just a game, relax'. Something tells me that's not going to slow down the armed mob that burns my house down and crucifies me in my own front yard, nor should it. :skull:

Sure there are probably a ton of crime and poverty related issues that are partly due to illegal imigration. But you can't blame everything on immigration.

I agree. And I do not blame everything on illegal immigration. But I do see a growing threat in this country that has already eaten away at many communities. And it will grow worse until we do something to stop this.
If we do nothing, then we will lose this portion of the country to a majority poverty-stricken hispanic population. Our government in these states will fall to the corrupt and communist agendas of the unskilled welfare force.
The LA mayorship and city council has been over thrown. The state legislature is falling. The LtGovernor is a former member of Mecha.
We will lose, and we will lose big. And once the middle class has been uprooted, and california, arizona, and new mexico have been overrun, the masses will turn east. It may take a few decades, but my America will never be the same.

Such is the way of the world I assume. Europe is being overrun by Turks, North Africans and Middle Easterners, the US by Mexicans. People go to where the money is. You can try to build high walls and hide behind them, but it won't change a thing in the long run.

I have to disagree. If we keep them out, then they annot destroy us. I do not agree with your fatalism. We do have choice in the matter.
Germany, IIRC, has very aggressive and successful immigration laws, does it not?

Could you please expand on "aggressive" and "successful"?
-
AW: Racist game spreads hate over immigration debate
I can“t tell if our German laws are more strict than the American ones cause I know neither of them very well but I think our situation is quite different.
As far as I know none of our neighbours has a higher unemployment rate than we do. :embarassed:
And none of them has a quickly growing and hungry population.

..and one of the largest Turkish populations in Europe.
Legal immigration is the only way forward, it's unavoidable. The European population is becoming too old, and frankly, too rich to have a decent working society. We've become reliant on cheap 'foreign' labour, there's no way back.
As for the US: start legal immigration up again, fine (or even jail) people who employ illegal immigrants and start making English a state language. Those things will probably help you further along than any wall can.

Try one of the other games Divinus to avoid sensitivities about killing , maybe the Nazi version of duck hunt , birdshot doesn't normally kill , as evidenced by Cheney .~;)

I completely agree. We do need a certain level of immigration, but we want American citizens, not 'Mexican citizens in America'. We aren't asking anyone to foresake their roots or culture; only to swear an allegiance to the constitution of the United States, to adopt our language as their own, and to love and respect this country as their own.
When immigrating to the United States, one's goal should not be merely to attain a job or a more secure future, but to become American.
