I've been waiting for a decent Warhammer fantasy battle game for years. Dark Omen was promising and a lot of fun but when sales were poor they gave up on the idea. I've always wanted a tabeletop battle/campaign game that used some of the huge amount of written material in the Warhammer world as the background story, bringing in Regiments of Renown to use in your campaign. Whether this new game fits the bill is another matter, first impressions are that the battlefield looks great, in fact more like what I would have liked for RTW, i.e. like MTW but a bit bigger and easier to see. If they get the campaign game right it could be a really good game.
Another PC upgrade may be needed but that's going to be required for MTW2, HOMM5 and Oblivion anyway :)
Well I've looked at the site now and it's being described as an RTS game. If it's the usual RTS type game it will be a major disappointment for me :no:
