There are videos and some screenshots at the .com. They've figured out an overhand spear formation finally, but no two-handed phalangites. The Makedonian phalangites shown in a few screens have transformer shoulder pads or something...oh, and there's some crazy looking unit with a giant hook/sword and a hoplon.
Indian naked female archers heh, guess that's their main selling argument ;)
Still, I don't expect anything much from this. It probably won't even get us a new patch for RTW (and we all know the vanilla campaign quality).
If you want to know what I think, it's highly probable that this is some old content one or two of CA's guys made in the beginning and didn't finish which SEGA took and wants to make a bit of money with now.
well, IMO really unless they plan to overwrite vanilla RTW with 4 factions, the expansion pack may well introduce new ways of developing a mod, so that will be fairly promising....
Why should they have to overwrite anything?
They're gonna use a mod folder just as they did with BI.
exactly, which should mean that because of this it will probably give us modders something to look into.
well the "historical battle campaign" that has unlockable battles will need some new code. Unless that already existed in RTW but we didn't know about it ?
Definately doesn't exist at the moment. So yes they must include some new code, but this looks like a skin pack really. I don't think we can expect any modding revolutions.Quote:
