A 4Ghz CPU chip for $130.
If this is true, we're all going to be very happy people. :2thumbsup:

O/C'ing rules. My AMD 2500 XP is running around 400Mhzs higher that equals to an AMD 3200 XP, thanks to O/C'ing and effective cooling ~:)
Yeah LEN, exact same set up here... :2thumbsup:
Hmm, does that mean I can O/C my XP3000? (Without frying my machine that is.)
Highyly probable, Beirut. Do you have non-standard cases or fans with your system? As I stated above, it gets even hotter in Izmir in summer, so that an O/C'ed system in winter would fry when it hits the spring times. Therefore I purchased this Chinese import that satisfies my system's cooling need at sufficent rates:

Once you have strong cooling devices, O/C 'ing is a matter of FSB adjustment through your BIOS.
A few case fans and you shouldnt have a problem. Make sure you have good airflow by careful placement of components and by using cable ties on your cables and wires. Just to make sure though, I have a Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu cooler as well. Its really great for OCing as its variable. You should be able to get at least an extra 200 mHz. Probably more.
Holy cow... 4GHZ....
Then there's this 5.25 ghz project: http://www.tomshardware.com/2003/12/...ct/page13.htmlQuote:

Completely impractical, but oh what fun! :2thumbsup:
My energy bill would surpass the national debt if I had the 6GHZ one... :dizzy2:
You'd probably be able to compensate it with the energy you would generate from the Sturmovik propeller that you would use as the cooling fan ~DQuote:

Geez. You'd have to throw that thing in a pool to cool it.
Any idea how much a watercooling system costs and how hard it is to install?
Starting at about 120 Euro for a half decent set, and they are reasonably easy to instal these days. But be very careful, and take your time!
