Certainly.
With SP2, Windows XP is almost invulnerable and as stable that you rarely see any blue screens. Go for it indeed.
Certain programs and drivers don't work although...
I have not run into any incompatibilities with Win XP SP2.
I use it & it adds some important functionality/fixes.
The primary issue it has (mainly from experience at my work) is that if you weren't using the ethernet port when it is installed, the interface gets disabled so people get confused when they plug in an ethernet cable but the network doesn't work.
Simple right click, select 'enable' fixes that though.
I advice you to get the Service Pack. There are several security problems before that, and Win XP is probably also less stable before SP2.
If you use p2p, though, you might need to install some 3rd party patches, as one of the security features of sp2 is limiting the number of half-open connections, which kills bittorrent and other p2p networks.
Oh yes, you mention about EventID patch that modifies Tcpip.sys file. If you need more knowledge on this, please prefer PMing :bow:Quote:

I am downloading it now. I hope my system will be much more stable. :book:
While i'd say "invulnerable" is a little too strong of a word to use, i'd still highly recommend SP2.
"comparably most flawless OS" would be better, yes :bow:Quote:
