Question about map sizes.

I'd seen this mentioned somewhere before, but what is the maximum size of a ground features map in pixels?

Depends on the map, or the water to land ratio. The largest map of europe I could get to work is map_heights 1021 x 675. I have made considerably larger working maps, but they did not resemble Europe. i.e. much less water tiles.
