Well, the screenshots of the campaign map seemed pretty similar to Rome's one, so I was working off that. Hopefully there won't be too much of a change.

Update: I have resized the campaign map. I will put screenshots of the up-to-date map in the original post.

In a post at the TWC Caius Brittanicus wrote that in a private correspondence with a CA developper he was told quite clearly that direct porting from R:TW to M2:TW won't be possible. Perhaps this doesn't apply to the map, though, but I am not a modder so I wouldn't really know. You can find Caius's post here.

That's frightening, but it did seem a lot like he was talking about the 3d graphics etc. not the campaign map. If it doesn't work in the end, I guess I will just have to start the campaign map again, which won't be too much of a problem because a) I will be able to use the work I have already done as a basis for it and b) All the other mods will be starting around that time as well.

I like the idea behind this. A focussed and clear mod in an interesting time frame. Hopefully you can get all your decisions about units, map locations and factions done before the release of the game. Then with a bit of hard work you should have a great mod up and running. I'd play it. good luck! :2thumbsup:

we need some more modders.

Even if you cant mod (like me) you could always help with history, factions and units

Cheers. While it's a nice offer, I'm afraid that i really don't have the time to commit to a mod. Too much work, too little time for play.

I like your maps though - reminds me of driving around the Pelopennese with Ms Zak last summer. ~:cool:
