Fisherman 0 : Marlin 1, God chuckles....

Marlin exacts revenge on fisherman
A marlin fisherman in Bermuda was nearly killed by his would-be prey on Saturday. After Ian Card hooked a 14 foot marlin, it jumped from the water, speared Card near his collarbone, and pulled him into the ocean. Card is recovering from surgery. No word on the marlin. From the Associated Press:
"The fish all of a sudden changed direction and jumped. The fish made a leap and Ian just happened to be in the way," (Ian's father) Alan Card said.
The younger fisherman managed to struggle free while his father cut the line and helped his son get back into their boat, the Challenger.

Incidents like that make me smile.
Must be surprising to suddenly be at the other end of the food chain.
Have you found similar stories?
I remember the cow that pwned two large dogs, mastifs iirc.
The images where quite graphic, though.
And then there's always the evil attack squirrel of death.

Have some video of a matador getting gutted by a bull, always good fun; but I think it's a bit too graphic for the org. Summary: bull + matador = gore galore. Bull makes a honor round wearing bloody entrails like a crown, matador kinda dies painfully.
poor guy.

My cat got savaged by a mouse.
The cat is a bit on the dog side of stupid, and went over to investigate a rustling in the garden undergrowth - only to emerge with a field mouse clamped to his nose, biting and scratching. When the mouse finally opened its jaw to breathe, it dropped off the stunned cat and then proceeded to chase him round the garden. I don't know what the mouse had eaten for breakfast, but he sure was one angry critter. The cat finally retreated to the house in high dudgeon.
Mind you, this is the same cat that pursued a squirrel of death TM at full pelt along the lawn until the squirrel (as squirrels are wont to do) whizzed up a vertical surface without warning - at which the amazed cat ran slap bang into the aforesaid vertical surface with a crunch.
Luckily, his brains are in his butt, so there was little damage sustained.
Sadly, I have no photos, only indelible memories of needing supplemental oxygen to breathe again.

Kudos to the Marlin, nice shot fish.
Hilarious BG!
I remember a rather lethal cat I used to have as a kid. One day he sauntered after me into the next-door-neighbour's house as I went to retrieve something she'd borrowed. She didn't mind the cat, regularly putting milk out for him, as he was quite docile until roused. We got into the hall when she suddenly burst in from the back yard with her two dogs bounding behind her, not realising the cat was there. They ambushed the cat in a flash, but in the blink of an eye he shot up the wall of the hallway to about 8ft, leapt off, spun in mid-air and landed in the back of the largest dog, a big Alsatian. Claws dug in to maximum effect blood and fur flew everywhere. The dog scarpered out the front door, cat on back like a National jockey, with the second dog chasing to help his partner. Halfway down the street, the cat coolly dismounts and waits for victim number two, a swift right hook opens up the dog's muzzle and the cat watches nonchalantly as the bloodied mutt races back to the house, whining. The Alsatian turned up half an hour later in a right mess. By that time the cat was fast asleep on the wall outside. Those dogs never bothered that cat again. He was one tough, cool dude.

I was woken one night by the sound of clattering outside. Looked out of the window, and saw a fox rummaging in the bins. Next thing I knew, next door's cat came flying out of the shadows and lay into the fox, which promptly turned and ran for dear life. It looked so funny as they went down the street, the fox was about three times the size of the cat (though a lot of that could have been fear-fuelled fluff :laugh4: )
Also, my dad was once mugged by a squirrel whilst trying to eat his packed lunch in the park. He was bitten on the nose and lost his sandwiches.... pity I wasn't there to see, really!

This is a different matador incident, but (in a tragic, macabre way) damn hilarious:

I think every person who hunts gets what the deserve in these sort of incedents UNLESS they use every piece of meat on the carcass. I personally will not hunt, but people who hunt for the fun of it make me sick.
Friend of mine kills squirrels, possums and any other small animal around his house. I hope a pack of rabid squirrels take one of his arms one of these days...:furious3:

Keep away from him. A study found out that a very high percentage of convicted murderers tortured and killed small animals in their youth.
Or else, talk some sense into him. :furious3:

Well there are the squirrels who attacked a dog for anyone who missed it.
Anyways next time I'm at the vet I'll ask how many cases a month they get on this as I don't think it's uncommon for the squirrels to fight back and the dumb dogs to harass them on top of this. A few years back I was at the vet and they had a dog there that had his muzzle mutilated by a squirrel.
Also There was a bear that was chased up a tree by a cat, when there was space between them the bear came back down to get away only to be persued again by the and chased up another tree. When the owners realized what was happening they called the cat in the house to let bear alone and off he went back into the wilderness he came from.
Unfortanately the site that hosts this is down so I cant provide a link.

Oh man that was the funniest thing I've read all day. " That was no ordinary squirrel it was the evil attack squirrel of death". :laugh4:

Someone should do a MS Paint image of a fisherman with a Marlin through his collarbone and write pwnd on the fish. I'd laugh, and so would many others.
