hi guys , i've been playing for quite a while, but a sort of noobish question to ask. I enjoy playing eastern european factions, like poland and hungary, and wonder in which mod they get the most love, especially poland. i want to start a new campain, but vanilla is just isn't a challenge to me anymore

Well I know that XL Mod adds a couple of more factions in Baltic and Russia.

*unique* - Tiley is in essence a suicidal, sacrificial unit - generally one-shot weapon, one-two should be used per army, only.
If you want to stay in the Medieval timeframe, I'd recommend the MedMod. It contains interesting concepts also present in Pike&Musket (homeland/recruiting zones) and grants a nice, overhauled units roster to most factions, especially to Poland in late. The only downside is that you can't start in high with this mod but well.....

The XL mod adds alot of new factions such as the Lithuanians, Armenians, Bulgarians, Serbians, Volga Bulgars and the Cumans, without changing the time period or too much of the gameplay. May be worth a try before progressing to a more total conversion.
When it comes to Poland - no MTW mod can compete with Pike and Musket:balloon2: :balloon2:
