The Left's Super Hero calls Bush "the Devil" at UN
http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/americ....ap/index.html
Please note the book he is holding. A rpoud day for the mentally ill all over the world.
So the question of the day...
Is Bush the Devil? If so, in what ways?
Second question...
How does it feel to have the same feelings as people such as Chavez, Saddam, or Mahoud Adinamawhateverhisnameis?

Ok, sometimes my titles are a bit obscure.

Re: The Left's Super Hero calls Bush "the Devil" at UN
I find this fellow very entertaining.
I wouldl gladly exchange an entire continent of Chavez-style opponents for the removal of NK and Iranian opposition. This chap just hates our guts, but he's sane enough not to try to slaughter us in batches. Suits me.

I wish a witchdoctor would force him to marry Cindy Shehan.

Re: The Left's Super Hero calls Bush "the Devil" at UN
The Devil by all accounts is devious, able to tempt people into sin merely by his siblant tongue. He's a very clever creature that is the greatest nemesis of the Lord.
Bush? By himself he'd be hard pressed to persuade people to get into shelter it it were raining.
Bush has none of the genius that would make him comparable to the Devil. He's a 3rd grade yes man with friends with deep pockets.

I resent the title of this thread! Chavez the left's super hero indeed. He's the court jester.

1. He is not the devil. Richard Nixon was the devil.
I used to think that Bush was just a plushy little puppet, but lately he has been saying some very horrible things, so I am rapidly changing my opinion of him to be a much more unpleasant individual. But he doesn't hold a candle to Nixon.
2. Can't tell... I don't hold the same feelings as Chavez, Hussein, or Ahmenijad. Besides, the enemy of my enemy is not my friend, thus rendering your argument ad hominem and generally fallacious.
Hehe... fallacious. :laugh4:

You've lost me here -- are you channeling Colbert or Coulter?

Re: The Left's Super Hero calls Bush "the Devil" at UN
I don't think Bush is anywhere near as dim as his opponents paint him.
To be fair to Rory's criticism however, he was also hammering Bush on his persuasive skills.
Bush may be effective one-on-one (don't know), but glib he ain't.

I am especially proud of the fact that the United States is Venezuela's largest customer for oil. I truly truly love that we are reliant on our enemies to power our economic engine. A national disgrace.

Re: The Left's Super Hero calls Bush "the Devil" at UN
I have a deep seated dislike for demagogues, and Chavez is no exception.

Democrats warn Chavez: Don't bash Bush
http://edition.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/09/21/chavez.ny/
Quote:
"You don't come into my country; you don't come into my congressional district and you don't condemn my president," Rep. Charles Rangel, D-New York, scolded Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-California, was blunt in her criticism of the Venezuelan leader. "He is an everyday thug," she said.
As much as I love this, I almost wish they wouldn't even address this moron. Bush's greatest diplomacy so far has been his handling of Chavez, complete and utter dismissal.

Re: The Left's Super Hero calls Bush "the Devil" at UN
What else could Bush do? Until the USA gets oil from elsewhere they can't annoy him too much.
Considering how unpopular Bush is compared to the popularity of Chavez he'd only end up making a fool of himself.

Ah, complete and utter dismissal would include sponsoring a coup attempt against him and looking like a prize twit when it failed?

Re: The Left's Super Hero calls Bush "the Devil" at UN
I’d pimp slap :pimp: him to the ground and kick him until he was nearly unconscious then piss all over him and then take out my cell and order the missile strike on his home and then finely I would ask “now do you think I’m the devil?”
This may be why I am not the president.
Seriously thou, I don’t understand how this guy is not heckled and boo’ed out of here. Most of America doesn’t like him any more than we like Sheehan but for some reason our representatives sit quietly on their thumbs (with a few exceptions).

Re: The Left's Super Hero calls Bush "the Devil" at UN
It was at the UN. America has few friends at the UN. This may come as a shock, but most think America is a bully.

Saw parts of his 'speech' in Harlem, maybe he should do standup comedy instead. Actually surprised that he didn't make a 'your mother is so fat' joke, couldn't have hurt to slip a few in.
what a clown.

Perception is greater than reality, but there were still a few “friends” there and they should have been spitting mad rather than laughing at the translator.

Re: The Left's Super Hero calls Bush "the Devil" at UN
Which countries? And more importantly, why bother?
For a country to do so makes them America's yes-men. Even Israel has more dignity than to do that.

Yes, and most of those countries are dictatorships.... less than half the UN membership is composed of open democracies. Comes as a real shocker that many of them dont like the US. :laugh4:

Re: The Left's Super Hero calls Bush "the Devil" at UN
Our status as host country required us to allow him in for his speech at the UN. I think we showed commendable restraint in not PNG'ing the S-O-Q the very moment his UN meetings concluded.
I think he will get Venez' on the UNSC. He's vexing, but the fellow plays anti-US sentiment very well and it is a big enough component of the world's collective psyche to get him a lot of mileage.

Dignity has no place in the UN. ~D
That said just about any “Friend” country could get up and say “Shut your cake hole, America pays our electric bill”.

I saw it as well. Interesting how a the response for him. Then again, if i existed simply on handouts and government assistance because I'm too lazy to get a job or take care of my 15 kids on welfare, i guess i would be cheering this socialist as well. :2thumbsup:

:inquisitive: There's a difference between socialist and sycophant. And Chavez is not a socialist; he's a ******BAG.

Re: The Left's Super Hero calls Bush "the Devil" at UN
I liked the part when Chavez said at Harlem that 'Your country is being run by a drunkard."
It seemed to me that he already drunk a little too many tequila's then.
