Everyone else noticed this? Pre-order and get the exclusive demo at the end of October?
Really? Alot of people seemed to think we'd get a demo at least mid way through the month.
omg so we have to wait
to be honest what's the point getting the demo, for god sake, by the time that comes out, 20 or so days later, there's MII:TW
Can't beat the good old fashioned pre-order it and then cancel it once you've got the demo tactic!
To check how your pc handles it. I'll d/l it anyway because I'm going to reformat my pc before M2 so it'll get deleted along with the rest of my rubbish :2thumbsup:Quote:

I dislike exclusives heh, what can ya do though...
On subject of preordering, I've given up my wait to see who had the best deal going and went for game.net, my mate says ocassionally when he's preorders games (ofc, he's a dirty console player, so not sure about pc games) he gets them a couple of days before actual release. This is backed by game having a "first to play" thingy on the M2 page. If it doesn't then its basically same price as elsewhere so not big loss.
But if I do get it a bit early then...bonus! :D
I have just pre-ordered the collectors edition of Medieval 2 from Game. The last time I pre-ordered from Game.net I got it a day before release.
Game and Gameplay often release games a day or two early, but some companies don't like that. I think it was Rockstar who threatened such vendors by not giving them adequate supplies for launch day in the future if their games were being made available prior to the official release date.
I got both RTW and BI a day early. Actually RTW was 2 days early.
Anyone who gets it early needs to spare at least a moment of their time to give us the low down!
Exclusive M2TW demo? To pay for demo? Is this joke?
You pre-order the game and part of the deal is that you get the demo at some point. In other words you pay for the game not the demo.
Anyway, will be demo free or those who preorder will play some kind of demo with exsclusive parts?
No idea. You might get it a few days early or something. Amazon probably needed some way to get a one-up on the other online retailers who also had it at £25...Quote:

Lol. Amazon has an "exclusive" demo offer, Game has an "exclusive" demo offer, Pc Gamer has an "exclusive" demo offer. I reckon there isn't an exclusive. Or maybe there is. Mmm ...
Game doesn't have one, as far as I know. But it does suggest it'll ship before actual release date.
Most games have demos that come out just a week or so before the game, and some games evem have demos that come out after the game.Quote:

You will probably see it mid october. Here is what i am betting, these exclusives are all different versions of demo. Like maybe one has some video footage and another different video footage. It's only way i know like 5 sites can have exclusives.
For those of you curious in the other demo post titled Demo availability this was posted by Greifmaker
So don't lose hope.Quote:
Ok I've got the demo release date. This is quoted from my favourite store in New Zealand. This is for the Collector's Edition, it's the only one they are offering.
"Pre-order Medieval II off Gameplanet Store and you'll score yourself the chance to try the game out early! We'll send you out a special code on October 14th so that you can download the demo direct from Sega TWO FULL DAYS before it goes live to the public! :D This offer is exclusive to Gameplanet Store in New Zealand".
