Re: Small annoying things
I never read signs on doors. So I do it all the time.
Other small annoying things:
I hate the people who suddenly slow down when they see flashing blue lights or accidents on the opposite road. “Ohhh, that is so interesting. I better slow down and have a look…” :furious3:
Re: Small annoying things
All the time my friend all the time.
Re: Small annoying things
Haven't done that really, but i do get annoyed easily, so lets turn this into a thread to voice our petty annoyances!
I hate the word "Knapsack"
Re: Small annoying things
That does irritate me. A door should either have a push-plate or a handle, as far as I'm concerned.
Re: Small annoying things
How about the doors in my doorm, where you had to push and then pull? Majorly confusing the first time.

Ghastly. Are they purpose-built to peeve people?
Re: Small annoying things
Doors that people haven't already opened for me. Very irritating they are...
Oh, and children...
And poor people... except when they're properly trained.
Re: Small annoying things
When you are very tired and still have a lot of homework to do...
Re: Small annoying things
When I came back to the States after living in London for a while, I was surprised by the doors... I had forgotten about having to waste so much energy pulling instead of walking and pushing the door.
I'd rather open my own door, you never know what some idiot is going to do.:smug:
Re: Small annoying things
Can't stand those 'it's not a soda it's a lifestyle' type of commercials. And the others as well.
Re: Small annoying things
You mean like that delicious soda Sprite [TM] ? The taste of the future. :laugh4:
Re: Small annoying things
Traffic jams. How the hell do those things come into existence? They defy all laws of logic, and still :furious3:

As someone who has to deal with the LA Freeway System on a daily basis, There are occasions when a traffic jam seem illogical. I can be going five or ten miles on the Freeway, with very minimal traffic around me, and seeing nobody come on or off the On-Ramps, and as soon as I get to the outskirts of LA, the Traffic Goes from nothing to Five Lanes of madness, and I can see cars in front of me as far as the eye can see, and cars behind me as far as the eye can see. I don't understand how it happens, to further the complication, I generally go from about 65-75 mph going from Santa Barbara, to anywhere from 10mph to around 115mph once I'm in LA. It's... insanity.
Re: Small annoying things
I hate door handles. They zap me with electric shocks :wall:

The faster people drive, the more likely a traffic jam will occur. Doesn't sound logical huh? Still it's true, the faster people drive the more distance they keep from eachother, et voila JAM
Re: Small annoying things
Hypothyroidism. :laugh4:

Perhaps in sensible countries, but not in the UK.
Tailgating actually annoys me more than anything mentioned thus far. Why do people think that maintaining position two feet off my rear bumper is a good idea?! One day I'm going to snap, buy a really cheap car, and then go around brake-testing white van drivers.

Hehe, traffic in the netherlands is hardly sensible, you will not find more hostility anywhere in europe, it's a warzone. The dutch are the most aggresive drivers I know, my danish relatives don't even dare driving here, they walk or take the bus/train. When I am in Germany of Denmark, or other civilised nations, the way they follow the rules never fails to amazes me, robots be there. They will actually stop for a red light for crying out loud, here it is more of a friendly suggestion, that nobody apreciates.

Rush hour, because it's anything but.

Re: Small annoying things
Parental advice.
ADVICE: "Yes, a gap year would be really good and interesting..."
REALITY: Working full time whilst everyone else parties, earning rather less than I would if I just waited until I graduated, and without the possibility of saving enough, soon enough, to do anything interesting before the end of the year.
Re: Small annoying things
Frag: Isn't the driving of the French and Italians not sensible as well? At least, that's what I've heard.
Anyway, the teachers that are hopeless are a major pain. They waste your time, expect respect, teach you nothing and are a danger to p off/disrespect/insult, though they deserve it. Oh, also, the ones who refuse to admit they're in the wrong. e.g. they misread the question, mismark your work and refuse to give you the marks you deserved.
