Odd happening

It appears that my MTW no longer runs as widescreen, which I find rather irritating. Any suggestions how to fix this?

EDIT: I've changed the resolution in "Options" to the widest setting, but this seems to have no effect.

Its not a major problem just its really quite irritating. I oddly can't do a system restore either.
