A grandmother’s fight against insects in her home has had her rushed to hospital after the anti-cockroaches liquid she was spraying around too generously exploded.

The woman, a 66 years’ old resident of Lvov, Ukraine, had been waging war against roaches for years, neighbors said.

She purchased a new anti-insects spray and before going to bed sprayed it all around the apartment, the Kazanskiye Vedomosti newspaper reports.

She most likely overdid it, because the concentration of dichlorvos got so heavy that it caught fire on the candle the woman had burning in the room.

The powerful explosion broke the doors and windows as well as some of the walls in the apartment. Many of the woman’s possessions burned in the fire. She had to be rushed to hospital with 40 percent of skin burned.

The neighbors however said the roaches survived. The disinsectant exploded before the insects inhaled enough of it.

Well in that case I have found the solution, ship the cockroaches to iraq. Terrorists get top blow up stuff and the cockroaches get to live, eat that Koffi.

Before we make too many jokes about this, lets remember that this lady could easily die of her injuries. She has 40% burns and she is over 60, both of which indicate low chances of survival. Let's hope she bucks the probabilities.

Death in an animal's mouth would be more appropriate but this is not bad either.

We studied em in my first year in university undenominated science. We put it in the microwave and cooked it for a few minutes and when we opened the door it flew out. We caught it, pulled it's legs off and decapitated it, held it in tweezers and it tried it's damnedest to fly away. They'll live for about two weeks decapitated before they finally die of starvation.

I hate cockroaches. Even when you kill them its not gratifying, their dead carcass sticks to your shoe or fly-swatter.
