Crash problems....

Hey I just re-installed MTW and VI the other day; it's probably been about a year since I've been playing them frequently. Anyways, I made sure that my versions were up to date (v2.01), and set out to play. I never really got into multiplayer that much, so I started a single player campaign with the Germans and glorious achievements settings. As soon as the map loaded for the first time, within a few seconds the game crashed and closed with no popup warning or anything. This continued to happen over and over again as soon as I would start a campaign, regardless of civilization, difficulty, etc. I also fiddled with my resolution settings but nothing worked. This never used to happen, and my computer has always been a champ when running MTW. Anyone have this problem in the past or have heard of this before? I'm really craving some MTW action to warm me up for MTW2. Any help would be much appreciated.

Check the CTD's (crash to desktop) thread in the Apothecary section of this forum. You'll find it's a common problem with MTW, especially with NVidia or Intel graphics chipsets and certain driver versions.

just try and reinstall it

Do you have an nVidia video card?

Either the vid card, or the starting date is lower then the date of the starting period.
