Is it correct that the Goidils were the first settlers in Britain? Were there not Celts from the Belgae and other tribes there before them? Also, did the Goidils just inhabit Ireland, or mainland Britain as-well?

I understood that the Goidils first appeared in Ireland, I think there may be evidence for small communities in Britain's west coast but they appear only to have started to live in Britain in any numbers at the end of Antiquity (Dal Riada etc.) ?
