High Achievement news messages

The Good News/Bad News messages indicating that"
"You(or Someone else) has the highest income"
"You(or Someone else) has the largest military"
"You(or Someone else) has the highest technology"
"You(or Someone else) has the happiest people".

From what I have heard confer a step of Influence to the named faction. Correct?

So how often do they occur?, Is there a set frequency of years, do they come in a specific order? or are they randomly selected when its time to display one?

Some also have other consequences other than influence. The 'highest income' will give you 10% more chance to be attacked by another faction, while the 'largest military' will make it 10% less likely that other factions attack you.

Interesting; I wasn't aware of this either (although it makes sense). Where did you see that, Phil? Is it in the Beginners Guide?

I picked it up on this forum. I don't know who said it anymore, so I can't give you any references. The fact that you, both longstanding members, haven't heard of it doesn't speak well of the reference as well. So it could just be a rumour.

I haven't heard of that. I understood such messages to be purely informal. :book:
