camera control by mouse

i like to move the camera with my mouse, not the keys. it moves a lot faster than than the rome total war series, i'd like to know if anyone knows how to slow it down.

understand - i'm not talking about camera or rotation speed, i know about those settings, i mean the actual speed at which the mouse moves the cursor across the screen.

outside of the game, it moves regualrly, but in game it makes the campaign map and battle very difficult. i move the mouse a little and it's already at the edge of the screen, making everything whirl. in the heat of it all, it's hard to be ginger with it.

Hmm, and adjusting the cursor speed in windows doesn't carry over to the game?

it does, but somehow going into the game speeds it up by about 10% or so. then, of course, i'm stuck with a slower cursor on everything else. this never was any sort of a problem on anything in the total war series. i'm trying to isolate what this iteration does differently that makes my cursor get happy feet.

Cursor speed is counted in pixels. If you're running the game in a lower resolution than your desktop resolution, then naturally the cursor would seem to have increased speed.

To solve it, just set both the game and desktop to the same resolution and set the mouse to a comfortable setting in windows. There doesn't seem to be a way of tweaking cursor speed in-game, unfortunately.
