City control with no Govenor
How many people tick the box that allows city control without a govenor present. It certainly makes life easier in th early game when Govenors and Generals are in short supply.
I'm surprised this isn't built into the basic difficulty settings.
On the same tack do people use the battle timer or just go unlimited?

...
Who the hell would let a computer make decisions for them?
That completely ruins the game.
Admittedly, they probably did that for the people who just want to play an easy game for the battles, but that's just stupid.
Re: City control with no Govenor
I've always managed every settlement - can't imagine doing it any other way :dizzy2:
Oh, and I use timed battles, too. I don't want to fall foul of crappy AI sittnig there, doing nothing ad infinitum.

I've always left the time limit there, just to make it harder for me.
But guess what I discovered? In MTW2 it's practically a failsafe for passive problems.
I've taken to auto-resolving most battles that are clear-cut wins just to avoid bugs, crappy charges, etc.
Re: City control with no Govenor
I always tick that box because the autobuild makes the stupidest choices and I never have enough guys to fill all the cities (especially if the pope is mad and there's inquisitors around)
